The Waynesburg University Music Program, in accompaniment with the Fine Arts Department, will present its annual Christmas Program concert Saturday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Roberts Chapel. Admission is free, and the public is cordially invited to attend.

Following the theme of “A Renaissance Christmas,” most of the selected pieces come from this era. The Lamplighters Concert Choir will begin with “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” featuring participation from the symphonic band.

The symphonic band will take over, performing songs such as “Belle qui tiens ma vi”, “Veni, Veni Emanuel” and “Courtly Airs and Dances.”  Next, the Lamplighters will sing a variety of songs, including “Cantate Domino,” “Amor Vittorioso” and “Coventry Carol,” among others.

There will be an intermission during the concert, expected to last less than two hours. Immediately following the concert is a reception in Marsh Center.
