Ten University students to serve in Hampton, Ga.

 

From Sunday, January 6 to Saturday, January 12, ten Waynesburg University students and trip leader Aimee Spicuzza, a resident director at the University, will be joining Global Village, a simulation of what life is like for people living in developing countries, and Mission Work Camp in Hampton, Ga. The service mission team will make home repairs in the community and connections with those whom they will be serving.

Students participating in the mission trip include:

  • Olivia Bakke, senior biology major from Monaca, Pa. (Beaver County Christian School)
  • Theresa Butler, sophomore accounting major from Uniontown, Pa. (Laurel Highlands High School)
  • Tiffany Franck, junior sociology (family studies) major from Ephrata, Pa. (Ephrata High School)
  • Alexis Johnson, freshman biblical & ministry (children & youth) studies major from Pittsburgh, Pa. (North Catholic High School)
  • Brooke Kappert, senior early childhood/special education major from McKees Rocks, Pa. (Sto-Rox High School)
  • Blake McCarty, sophomore business management major from Frisco, Texas. (Mars Area High School)
  • Cassandra McFarland, junior sociology (family studies) major from Fort Wayne, Ind. (Patriot High School)
  • Kaitlin Oliver, junior nursing major from Cranberry, Pa. (Seneca Valley High School)
  • Danielle Tustin, senior criminal justice administration major from Burgettstown, Pa.  (Burgettstown High School)
  • Karl Weber, freshman environmental science major from West Mifflin, Pa. (West Mifflin High School)
