Waynesburg University will host a webinar titled “LinkedIn Makeover,” Wednesday, March 6, at 8 p.m. for all interested alumni and future alumni. The webinar, featuring Donna Serdula, will offer tips for using LinkedIn, a professional and business networking website.
In 2009, Serdula launched DonnaTechDesigns, a social media, website design and internet marketing consulting firm dedicated to assisting small businesses in establishing a powerful presence on the Internet through the use of affordable web technologies. She now uses her experience and knowledge to teach small to medium sized businesses how to utilize the Internet to drive revenue and promote business.
“Our alumni are looking for jobs in a competitive market, and this webinar series is one way we can help them better their career goals,” said Victoria Beppler, alumni relations representative at Waynesburg University. “The goal of the series is to help job-seeking alumni build a successful career and job search strategy.”
Waynesburg University began hosting its Alumni Career Speaker Series in October 2012. On the first Wednesday of every month, top career authors and experts share advice and tips with alumni, who can stream the webinar to their computers or mobile devices. Each speaker focuses on a specific topic related to the job search, such as networking, personal branding or social media.
Webinars last one hour and begin at 8 p.m. Each session is followed by a forum open to viewers for live discussion. Alumni and future alumni unable to watch the live webinar can access previous sessions on the series’ website.
Alumni and students can register to participate in each live webinar or they can watch recordings of previous webinars by visiting http://www.expertwebinarseries.com/waynesburgalumni.
