Spring Visitation Days scheduled for prospective students
Waynesburg University will host spring visitation days for transfer students, high school students and their families Saturday, April 6 and Saturday, April 20.
Registration in the Goodwin Performing Arts Center begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 6 and Saturday, April 20. After check-in, students have the opportunity to take a tour of campus, meet with faculty and staff in their elected majors, learn about admissions and financial aid and enjoy lunch in the Benedum Dining Hall.
According to Jessica Sumpter, the director of admissions at Waynesburg University, attending visitation days allows interested students to see the mission and values of Waynesburg University firsthand. While visiting, families see how each student is afforded a quality education and the ideals necessary to make a difference in the community and beyond.
"The best way for prospective students to get a good feel for their fit at Waynesburg University is to visit campus,” Sumpter said. “Our Spring Visitation Days are a great way to experience what being a Waynesburg University student is all about! During visits, prospective students and their families truly get to see how our mission of faith, learning and serving is integrated into the Waynesburg University education.”
Approximately 2,500 students are currently enrolled in Waynesburg University’s doctoral, graduate and undergraduate programs. More than 80 academic concentrations are offered at the University, which maintains its status as one of the least expensive private institutions in Pennsylvania.
In addition to rigorous academics, service is at the forefront of a Waynesburg University education. Students annually contribute more than 50,000 hours of service, working with more than 50 local, regional, domestic and international partners. University students have the opportunity to choose from approximately 16 annual domestic and international service mission trips offered during fall, winter and spring breaks.
